Spain received 10.6 million tourists through March, a 5.3% increase

The United Kingdom, Spain’s number one origin market, maintained its leadership position during the first three months with 2.7 million tourists, registering an increase of 4.1% with respect to the same period in the previous fiscal year. Second place was occupied by the German market, with the arrival of 1.8 million German tourists, a 2.1% increase. Third place was held by France, with the arrival of 1.3 million tourists, approximately 1.7% more than during the first the months of the previous year. While all of the remaining origin markets demonstrated positive development, the increase in tourists originating from the Nordic countries stood out, with a total of 991,000 tourists, or 16.7% more than in the previous year.

Non-hotel accommodations – personal or family residences, vacation rentals, camping, etc. – increased 1.4% in comparison to the same period during the previous fiscal year.
